Chutney clue in piano plague

Chutney has been discovered to be a silent carrier of the Japanese Tune Weevil which is destroying pianos around the country.

The chutney itself is not affected, nor are people who eat chutney, but any chutney spilled on a piano will eat through it within seconds.

This discovery is a major step forward in the battle to save our pianos, said Prof Stunko McWhoo of the Institute of Piano Destruction. Now all we have to do is work out why people are pouring chutney on their pianos.

Resorts send snow to skiers

Ski resorts have begun delivering snow by helicopter direct to skiers' homes in a move designed to protect the mountains from the environmental impacts of winter sports enthusiasts.
